I’ve always loved fitness. My main thing before CrossFit was martial arts, where I earned a 2nd-degree black belt. I tried my first CrossFit workout in 2010. I think I finished last. Or maybe I didn’t finish at all. I can’t remember; either way, it set my life on a new path. CrossFit is a whole new level of fitness for me that was both humbling and inspiring. Now CrossFit is my main thing. I’ve been coaching since 2015 and hold a CF-L2 trainer certificate. I am also a nutrition coach. My career has been managing a team of technical experts in the electronics industry. I consider myself innovative, a critical thinker and a good listener. I also know how important it is to make complex issues simple. Regarding fitness, I strive to make things simple for others and assure them they can do it, no matter how much we have to scale or adapt.
Being in my late 50s, I particularly love to inspire older athletes to stay fit, strong, and mobile so they can continue (or start) to enjoy an active lifestyle.
I have been married to my wife Kym since 1990, and we have three adult children. My other interests are real-estate, crypto, playing the saxophone, backpacking, and being a Grandpa.
